The Core Team of the Saint Augustine’s Alumni Alphas (S3A) is pleased to announce The Drive for $225k by 75 Fundraiser Campaign.

The Drive for $225k by 75 Fundraiser Campaign
has been kicked off with the 73rd Anniversary of Gamma Psi – March 15, 21. It is designed to
commemorate the 75th Anniversary of our Gamma Psi Chapter on March 15, 2023.

The goal of this drive is to raise at least $225,000 during the next two years as part of a recognition and an anticipated celebration of  our 75th year on the campus of Saint Augustine’s University.

On March 15 1948, our twelve (12) charter brothers raised the banner of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity on the campus if Saint Augustine’s University after being a part of Beta Rho Chapter at Shaw University – Raleigh, North Carolina.

The Drive for $225k by 75 is to follow in the footsteps of our chater brothers and one college advisor of 1948, namely: John Miller; Andrew Humphrey; William Le Flore; Walker Le Flore; George Barzey; Ben Stephenson; Henry Goodson; Arthur Fox; Furness Armstead; William Padgett; Edgar Harris; Henry Hill; and Professor Reginald Lynch (Advisor).

The charter brothers met the moment of 1948. They ushered in Key 88 and the door of Alpha was opened at Saint Augustine’s University.

Now is a time to commit, to serve, to give, and to follow in the footsteps of Gamma Psi Charterbrothers and our Seven Jewel – to meet a moment – to help educate educate 75+ students over the next three years; and to continue to make Gamma Psi a chapter for the better making of Alphamen.

With your support we will honor the legacy of the Charter Brothers and continue the tradition of our Seven Jewels and all Alphamen –  working to ensure that “First of All, Servants of All, We Shall Transend All”.

In the words of Founding Jewel Robert Harold Ogle spoken in 1931 at the 25th Anniversary Convention in Cincinnati “Alpha Phi Alpha undoubtedly faces the most challenging test in its history. It is of vital importance that we seriously consider the contribution every brother may make for the good of our fraternity”.
